I understand where you are coming from. What you make reference to, I also find troublesome....to my way of thinking. However, no single thing is ever the whole story about a person. Everyone has something of value to offer, perhaps great things, and before we react out of our anger and rage in ways that allow us to justify our own pent up venom (for example...attacking another by berating their work or profession, when in fact this is totally irrelevant)we might ask ourselves if there might not be a better way.
To ask ourselves this question is not to put on blinkers, nor to compromise the principles upon which one builds a life, rather, it is a refusal to become like that which we claim to deplore.
I am always amazed by the amount of venom that often saturates these threads on SI. I attribute it to ego, to fear, and to the often precarious and sensitive nature of a milieu defined by money and acquisition. Yet, I maintain my subscription because this venom is but a part of the story here, and the rest is of great value to me as a trader and an investor. The way I see it, everyone here can teach me something, and perhaps I can even make a contribution of my own now and then, even though that contribution may not be what someone else had in mind... <g>
