<..very nice analysis..>

Thanks-

I haven't kept up very well here recently, but see from your previous posts that we share many of the same concerns.

In December's Communication News (hard copy out last week), pg 12 has a link to a recent study by Forward Concepts that predicts that cable modems will win the battle for North American residential market share. They predict that cable modems will grow to an installed base of over 7 million units by the 2002 - outpacing by more than 4 times residential DSL, with cable modem unit prices to fall below $150 by that time.

This predicts that total installed residential DSL (primarily ADSL, but includes all DSL, such as HDSL/HDSL2, IDSL, SDSL, etc.) will total less than 1.75MM in 2002. What percent of this do you think will be ALA/Mietec?

A link to a description and parameters of the study is:

Steve
