You have said your database of VIX is only about 4 months in length. I would suggest that the last four months are an anomly and are not reflective of any past levels of VIX or basic trigger points. Its levels are saying something is happening in OEX options that hasn't occurred before. But how does that call the market? What would be the logic of using the VIX as the best representation of General market?
