Well, you know, that stopped clock will be right twice a day. But I will say that I think Addi is wrong about Stagflation Jimmy's short of Hong Kong. I'm pretty sure he was short it long before it hit 11,000 so he probably made some good money. I think he has now covered it if I recall correctly. It was a good bet but not a brilliant one. The stock market there was at a record, the property market was in bubble state, and, oh by the way, did I tell you that tomorrow we will be Communist? But Addi is right about Jimmy not eating humble pie very well. Take Buffett and his USAir preferred. Have you read his letter to shareholders? It's surely the measure of the man. He eats large helpings of crow and writes with great humor about how he twice tried to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by trying to sell his not-so-beloved preferred. Of course, the writeoff proved premature. I won't pick on Jimmy any more. I don't really care about him. Now, don't tell me you're a devotee of Jim Grant. Beachbumm
