Yes, it does. Mostly Yankees who know nothing about the situation.
What was the situation.?....we had a bunch of states cruelly and inhumanely holding people in chains, abusing them, and forcing them to work for nothing and allowing them no human rights....they.also tortured them and raped the women...... Is that the culture we don't know about. Then to guarantee their "right" to enslave people they seceded from the union in an attempt to destroy the country and started a civil war that killed 618,000 men. Is that the culture we don't know about??? After losing the war and losing their grip on the enslaved people they had imprisoned they continued to deny those people basic human rights and forced segregation on the former slaves in the form of severe discrimination and deprivation of rights accorded to the rest of the citizens of the United States... Yes, we know all about that.....and what that flag means to you.
