White Supremacists Acting Like Weak Whiny Cowards at Klan Rally –

It’s been a bad couple of days for white supremacists who showed what they’re really made of in the face of adversity. They may have expected to come together in a show of might, superiority, and power, but instead, in many instances, showed themselves to be the weak, whiny, cowards that they really are.

On July 18th, a sea of Confederate flags held by screaming Ku Klux Klan members waved in front of the South Carolina Statehouse. The Loyal White Knights of the Klu Klux Klan, based in North Carolina, vowed to protest the removal of the Confederate flag from the Statehouse last week and they made good on that promise. About 50 members showed up on the Capitol steps waving the rebel banners and Nazi symbols.

It would seem, by the way the day unfolded, that the demonstrators were expecting to be on their own that day and unencumbered by counter protests. Alas, it didn’t turn out that way. There was a counter rally featuring African flags on the other side of the Capitol wrapping up when the KKK contingent arrived. Faced with black faces, the KKK members immediately began shouting racial slurs and making gorilla noises. That’s right, gorilla noises.

Most of the vitriol, gorilla noises, and racial epithets were screamed from behind the safety of a barricade and armed police. For those that weren’t protected, things didn’t go so well.

In one incident that was memorialized in the photograph below and quickly spread around the world and may one day symbolize how insane and surreal the Confederate flag backlash really was, Officer Leroy Smith, an African-American officer, helps a neo-Nazi cool down and re-hydrated after suffering a potential heat stroke. You know, so the guy could get back to feeling better and join his friends in screaming about what an inferior race Officer Smith is a member of.

One Klansman shouted that the Confederate flag isn’t about hate. He said that seconds after members of his group gave a Nazi salute and stomped on a flag of the Star of David.

Here’s another photo showing a black officer keeping a confederate flag wearing bigot from getting attacked.
