Except for the US, the UK flag is probably the most recognized on the planet. Australia and New Zealand are offshoots with NZ having a few less stars than the Aussies.....

My two grandsons just got home from a month in Europe, the first two weeks backpacking by themselves ....the eldest brought home a flag from each country they visited......12...... I have a world map in my home office with pins sticking in the countries I've visited....there are 51 pins plus one each in Alaska and Hawaii since they are so far from the mainland...
