I have no idea what a mint condition 40 Ford would go for today. Back when I had mine I could "fix" anything on it with a crescent wrench, pliers or a screw driver. One weekend a friend and I pulled the engine in our garage. Just to see if we could! We all learned a great deal about the mechanics of those simple cars. Today you need a manual just to get the hood open. That's why I take my Buick to Bernie at the Goodyear Store and just walk away until he calls me to come and get it. lol
