Ken....It's a little early to tell how the Asian financial crisis will affect some stocks, including CPQ.....One thing, in addition to perhaps a bond fund, would be to invest in a company(s) whose earnings weren't dependent on Asian money, like something in the banking, cable TV industry, and there are others....I think we should know a little more how the Asian contagion is going to affect U.S. markets in the next 3-6 months........Worse case scenario, I think, is perhaps this could be the beginning of the traditional Bear Market that historically has lasted an average of 8 months....If Asia significantly affects US corporate profits, and worldwide too, we will have to probably devalue stocks a little more to reflect lower earnings......Then later, we're off and running again as everything gets 'fairly' valued, the Pacific Rim countries get their purses in control and its on to another Bull Market......George
