Tell that to people who avoid Fox News.

if you avoid watching something because you think it could influence you then you SHOULD avoid watching something or everything.

I was kidding actually, I don't watch national news on the mainstream lamestream networks because they've been irrelevant for a long time and I believe they will boycott some stories and magnify others based on their political stance. I do watch local news regardless of the network.

You seem to be saying that if YOU read the NYT's you could be influenced and possibly come to different conclusions about things.

The NYT isn't exactly a local paper here. I had a coworker who got it delivered to his office a long time ago and have read it. The science section (on Tuesday's if I remember) was good. The rest of the paper is about what I'd expect. The Houston Chronicle is just as liberal as the NYT. I get it delivered but have stopped paying for it. I tried to cancel long ago but their phone and internet contact is so user unfriendly I decided to just let them send it for free as long as they want. The parts I'd miss are the comics and the sudoku puzzle.
