It's important to keep these fab push-outs in perspective. If you broke ground on one now, it would not reach full production til after 2000. In the meantime(1 to 1.5 years), fabs that want to upgrade to 0.25 are desperate for DUV steppers(extremely long lead-times on steppers). Between now and 2000, it's hard to predict how the supply/demand situation for semiconductors will play itself out. Will there be a capacity shortage at any point in the next two years? I don't know, but those are the issues I'm focusing on right now.

I agree with Cymeed that some fab push-outs have been discounted into the sector. What's your opinion?
