"IBM fixes year-2000 bug in PC DOS 7.0" was the title of a small article in InfoWorld, Nov 17, 1997, p. 21. According to the article, " 'Now is a good time for corporate sites to clean up those mixed levels of DOS and standardize on a consistent version,' said Linda Nesmith, an IBM marketing manager."

According to IBM's WWW site, "Microsoft has stated it will not add Year 2000 readiness to Windows 3.x or MS-DOS. IBM, on the other hand, is releasing a fixpak for PC-DOS version 7 in 17 languages that supports Year 2000 applications."

And according to the fixpak readme,

This Year 2000 Fix Pak contains fixes for PC DOS 7 utility programs that incorrectly process date information for years after 1999. These
