Toshiba tech support's message says they want to charge for non-warranty support. Anyway, I've got a friend from the US coming here in about a month, so I'm just ordering a battery off of Amazon. The only issueI may have now is my exact model is Toshiba L455-s5981, and all I can find on Amazon is almost the same battery model but ends with s5980. It better stinking work! This laptop was bought in Japan. do you think the 1 versus 0 at the end of the model may have to do with US versus non-US voltage? That would suck.
