The Pew survey of 2002 adults was conducted July 14-20. It may just be a coincidence, but USA TODAY published a new poll July 14 showing that Donald Trump had surged to the lead in the GOP presidential field.

Zax, Trump will eventually flame out and more moderate voices will emerge. I am more worried about the political campaign of Clinton...so far she has been content to let these republican nut jobs duke it out, but she has to start energizing her base...and I am not seeing that. Her speeches lack passion in content and delivery. Sanders is more empassioned, but he can't win.

Frankly I see no cause for comfort simply because the GOP "crazies" are driving the news at the moment.
