Tom,

"What has changed at Oracle is lately a lot of their software has really kinda sucked. It's been buggy and hard to use. Developers can't get new products out the door on time because you're constantly running into these walls where things that should work, don't work."

Foolish statement! Here's the truth:
Oracle products continue to improve with every release. Developer 2000 is easier to user than any of their previous tool releases (Forms 3.0, 4.0 Reports 1.0, 2.0). If you work with the GUI tools on a daily basis, like I do, you find that they are some of the most robust and flexible on the market. They are not "buggy" nor hard to use.

If you know of any developer that "can't get new products out the door
on time" then I suggest that developer hang it up and go back to dBase.

I am currently the IS Operational Support Manager for a $4 bln/year billing system we custom wrote for the soon-to-be largest telecom in the world. This company does not stake this kind of revenue stream on
software that really kinda sucks!

I think it is very foolish of you to make blanket statements like that out of sheer ignorance. Does "don't shit where you sleep" make any sense to you.
