<<Do you have each of the HotSpot connections set to connect automatically on the chromebook?>>
The Chromebook has memory so it connects, along with all our smartphones and laptops to the Hotspots automatically.
When it comes to printing, it only connects automatically to the most recent hotspot SSID and password. Wifi signal blinks on the HP printer until I go into the Envy 4500 settings, click wireless, wireless setup wizard, enter password. It will work flawlessly as long as the current hotspot is on and we don't change hotspots. Once we change hotspots, I have to go through the same process over again: click wireless/wireless set up wizard, enter password. The HP envy is a wireless printer. No wireless connection, no printing. And it only works for one internet connection at a time. It doesn't like change.
As for the laptops running Windows 7 Home and Enterprise editions, it is the same story in regard to the HP envy.
I suppose I could get my Windows 7 Home edition netbook to work as a local printer on my Cannon MP 560. But it currently says, printer not responding. I had thought I had set that up properly in the Windows settings, but maybe the Cannon is subject to the same limitations as the Envy 4500, only holding one password at a time.
Our Brother 22700DW laser is connected via USB so there are no problems there. Wireless signal there was weak when we had TWC about a year ago. |
