There's a small difference in concept between gluten-free and glutton-free, but as both are largely imaginary concepts it makes little difference.

I was at my Doctor's office six months ago when the nurse answered the telephone. He assured the caller that her test revealed she was not gluten intolerant. He added, yes they did have the labs checked again to be certain and she certainly was not gluten intolerant. It took him a considerable period of time to convince the caller that his answer wouldn't change.

When he finally hung up he turned to a co-worker and said, "I'd have thought that would have been good news rather than devastating."

Throughout history people with too much money and time on their hands have always had a tendency to imagine they have the newest and most fashionable disease. They would attend various spas which usually involved a long expensive trip to "take the waters" to relieve their problems.

In truth they would have been better served dismissing their housekeeper and getting down on their knees and scrubbing their floor. After a good night's sleep they would then be largely cured of their imaginary illnesses. The gluten-free madness began in southern California and has now spread to nearly everywhere in the world where people have too little to keep them occupied.
