Well, I guess that warning has some validity. Now I can only boot up in safe mode. Not liking the limitations of same, will proceed with firing up my new HP computer purchased recently with similar attributes and a 3-yr in-home warranty. :) I haven't been able to back up my data for the past few weeks in safe mode so hope my latest CD will suffice. I'm not a heavy user, gaming, video and such, and my 500 HD is still only less than half full so probably just an irritation if it doesn't. When I get the new one fired up, any suggestions for tweaks and reinstalling my data? Someone suggested first running Decrapify to get rid of any bloat. The new one comes with Windows 7 installed and includes disks to upgrade to Win 8.1 but think I'll just wait until 10 stabilizes. Thanks for any suggestions.
