I bought my Acer Chromebook for $169. Think of it as an internet machine. It is fast, very reliable, without any problems or hassales. It just works.

My first Chromebook (Samsung) cost me $249. It lasted 2 years (without a problem) before the Wifi died out.

I have had the Acer Chromebook for about a year now. I never have had to reboot except when I get a signal for an update. Updates take a few seconds. No virus programs needed. You can use Microsoft One Drive to edit or create Word Documents, if you so desire.

I am in on Google. We use HangOuts and RingTo (Groove IP) at home. No need for a cell phone voice/text plan unless we are driving around. Then I use Ring Plus for free and LycaMobile for 2 cents a minute/text. I find Windows to be a clunky outdated System. Lots of menus, clicks, and unnecessary programs to download and use. Just a waste of time!

It is cheaper to buy data and voice/texts separately.
