To Bill Jackson and Walt from the initiator of this thread,
Thank you very much for your feedback regarding the Pennygold methodology.
Bill, I really appreciate your idea about posting a couple of my Pennygold "finds." And I'm especially thankful for your post verifying that there is some validity to the general concept. I am greatly reassured, somehow, by how you view these matters. Thank you.
Walt, I do not feel that I broke the first rule of Pennygold. I am obviously permitted to talk about Pennygold and its general ideas. I just can't copy the software of sell a service based on Pennygold's principles, or ethically give away the details.
The author is very serious that only 1,000 units will ever be sold. Again, please, I don't want to appear to be a "shill" for Pennygold ... so just let me state the facts. The author has put in place a security system that proves to us purchasers that only 1,000 will ever be sold -- he even publishes the serial numbers. He also has put many safeguards and a severe license agreement in place. But you know what? He doesn't make an extra dime by making it secure. Since he's only selling 1,000 copies either way, he's really protecting MY investment ... not his.
Bill ... we are all honorable people ... why rip off someone else's hard work and violate international copyright law by posting it to the Interent? Or were you kidding?
Walt, regarding your question as to why the author would sell this system, I originally had many questions of this nature. I was satisfied by the answers and the proof offered on the site. If there was something I missed, please tell me what you think is not real.
And Walt, as to why the price is going up as more units get sold, if you were selling only 1,000 units, wouldn't you increase the price of a commodity as it became rarer and more in demand?
Bill, this is one author who is NOT as poor as a church mouse. He is a successful physician who taught and practiced medicine at McGill Univeristy (a highly respected medical school). He has also made millions as a toy designer -- his story has been well-documented in some of Canada's most prestigious business and general newspapers. It is all on the Web site, and all well-documented and verifiable.
You know, I'm not defending Pennygold here, I'm really defending myself and my decision. I put a great deal of time and effort going through every single page of that Web site and I made what I believed (and still believe) was a great decision. That's why I'm taking so much time with this letter.
But my goal was not to give the author a hand (although I don't mind doing so -- he seems to be trying hard to build something good). My goal was to get a comfort level. And you know what! I AM greatly reassured after reviewing the quality of your comments. Thank you again for your thoughts and analysis.
  David.
P.S. Whoops. Last second question from Ed and Bill (replies #11 and 12) just as I was about to post this. I can see that I made a really big mistake. I'm sorry that I started this. But I can tell you right now that you are frying an innocent person... I bought the Pennygold program. I loved it. I used it to find, investigate and finally choose a stock that fits every criteria. I wanted to buy that stock. The author mentions SI, and this forum in particular, as a place to check and see if a selected Pennygold company is discussed, and to analyze the nature of the discussion. So I join. As I scan this forum, I am amazed at the number of different threads. I am also impressed at the number of dedicated penny mining stock players .. and at the depth of many of the comments ... I start to think, "Hey, do I really think I'm smarter than all these people?" I find no mention about Pennygold in this forum. I get "cold feet" at the last second. So I ask the members of this forum, "Do you know anything about Pennygold and what do you think?"
I never imagined personal attacks or controversy. I just wanted some help from those with more experience. I'm sorry I got a little too enthusiastic for your taste.
Bill you're right -- the ultimate question is "does Pennygold work?" As I said above, I'm comfortable now to give Pennygold a full trial. I promise to come back and contribute when I have some cold, hard, verifiable results.
