It took 45 minutes using the Upgrade This PC option from the time I ran the .exe file. Don't freak out when the screen goes black for a few minutes a couple times during install. So if you make install media like a USB or DVD, you will need your product key during the upgrade process. If you use the Upgrade This PC option, it does not ask for the product key.
