Someone was suggesting that Select Capital may be shorting...

Hi everyone! I am new to this site (and recent to investing). I would like to wish to you all a merry Xmas and happy new year!

I have read some comments on this thread suggesting that Select Capital may be shorting UMSI
stock's so I decided to look at the "other companies" wich had according to select, " potential".

Why would a company which was found to have "potential" see its share value go down?

Well, look at all the other "Select" puppies (those I could find the tickers) which have potential!
UMSI, AGTI, ADVT, ARTM, CAJ.V, CDSC, CATV, GGX.V, CLPZF, CVIA, DBMS (DBMSW), DWI.AL, LAZR, LTTO, OLEX, PKGP (look at Select Capital Web site
(http://www.selectcapital.com/) for the other companies I could not find).

If you look at the charts of the above mentioned companies (those I could find) that have dealings with Select Capital Advisors. You will notice that these companies's (except KIWI and NCTI) shares have gone "way" down in 97. My understanding is that most of these companies
had to turn to Select Capital for financing and were approved because they had a real potential.

It seems obvious to me that UMSI has real potential (as well has many other companies dealing with Select Capital) but that there may be a little more behind all this.

We must also consider that some of these companies declared losses that justifies the current value of their shares, but many of these companies have not declared anything and still had their shares significantly go down. So, if you look at the "Select" puppies, at least 90/100 of them are at their 52W lowest.

Does anyone have an explanation?

I believe that this factor ("Select Capital" factor) should be further investigated by someone which is more knowledgeable than myself about the stock market.

Just trying to analyse and understand......Sylvain C.
