Home use? Then you are competing with everybody trying to dominate the digital "pipe" into the house for entertainment, advertising and electronic commerce - billions and billions are already being spent to win this war.

CDRD will be lucky to launch their satellites on time, much less compete with established cable operators, WebTV, etc. And they will only find out if the technology works once the hundreds of millions have been spent.

If it doesn't, Loral presents its bill in a couple of years, CDRD has run out of financing, and the license gets sold and the satellites repossessed.

I can think of better ways to speculate in a long position. But not many other shorts.
