What if the client said, "Sell it now"? As an active mm Fiero would buy those shares at the bid, then sell them at the ask. For the most part that's all the mm's want, an equal number of buyers and sellers, and the spread in their pocket.
One thing I'm not going to participate in is some conspiracy theory or pattern of blame againt the Fiero's or any short sellers. It is interesting to see them move onto the ask, but they do spend time on the bid as well. At times, they are on the bid and the ask simultaneously. I don't believe that short sellers cause price declines, they just profit from them. You may call me naive if you wish, however, I believe if there were enough buyers the sellers would move out of the way.
