Dear DMaA,
B temporarily undoes the ignore on A so he can see one of A's posts.
From what you describe, no temporary change is required. B can always see A's posts, with hide ignored turned off (show ignored selected). Hiding or showing posts from members on one's ignore list is a preference that every Member has control over.
"he shoves posts into A's face."
If A doesn't want to see any of B's posts, or only wants to see some of member B's posts, A should ignore B. This is the purpose of the Ignore list; it is designed to prevent member B from accessing Member A's active notification system, as well as from being able to send Member A private messages.

Regards,

@Dima
