Not only complements, a lot of smokers like to create spliffs, by taking cigarettes and making a marijuana-tobacco cigarette. This combination could be produced by Altria as a means of targeting the dual preference of smokers.
Secondly, marijuana has a built-in audience. Musicians put smoking weed in their lyrics and that encourages their fans to go out and enjoy. With the increase acceptance of marijuana smoking, the stigma of tobacco smoking, because of their complementary nature, will likely go away as well and with less of a stigma, more people will be willing to give it a try.
