Re: Herb Greenberg

FWIW: I sent an e-mail to HG questioning his most recent attack on Iomega where he stated: "Where have all of the returned Jaz drives and Jaz disks gone? Will the returns ever show up in Iomega's financial statements?"

Here's his reply:

"iomega consistently refuses to comment regarding this issue...at least to me. and their lack of explanation regarding jaz failures is troubling. i would think, in the minimumn, that they would like to try to set the record straight. but they haven't done so after several articles questioning the jaz. i have heard from happy jaz users (and have reported THEIR comments) but have heard from far more unhappy jaz users. i realize iomega has hard-working, proud employees. but the delay in jaz 2, and their lack of comment regarding jaz 1, raises questions that i think the company has a responsibility to answer. thanks for writing. hg"

While I can understand Iomega simply brushing off HG's comments as having little or no impact, at the same time I'm thinking, how long would it take for someone in Roy to send a quick e-mail explaining the facts and thus putting this issue to bed. ...or maybe they should just send the man a free Jaz drive. Perhaps that's what this is really all about. ;)
