......I'll probably collect at 66.................at full (66) retirement age, if 1/2 of your SS benefit plus any other income totals $25K or less, ........all the SS benefit is tax free. At 66. it looks like I'll get about $30K SS. So if I make 10K in investments , all the $30K SS benefit is tax free............the $10K investment will be tax free also since the personal exemption and standard deduction is more than $10K. I plan to take out about $25K a year from my Roth IRA...............so All of the $65K a year at 66 should be tax free..............I can live with that........I don't have an expensive lifestyle..
