Markets tend to do much better under Democrats than Republicans.
Not when you look at Congress.

After the Republicans took control of Congress in 1994, Bill Clinton moved toward the right. He knew better than to pass liberal regulations that got in the way of economic prosperity.

Then when the Democrats took control of Congress in 2006, their first priority was to get a Democrat into the White House. The economy collapsed, the Democrats successfully blamed that on Bush, and a freshman senator named Barack Obama took advantage and became president.

Now that Congress is back under Republican control, we see the economy doing much better. But who knows how long that will last, especially if Bernie Sanders and Fauxcahontas get their way?
