CTrip had lower rates for the Macau hotels. But they had above average difficulty approving credit cards. At first they wanted me to send them a scanned copy of the credit card. I was hesitant to do that. I tried with two different cards (Amex and Visa) and both time Ctrip wanted me to send them a scan of the front and back of the card.

Then I remembered that I had opened a CTrip account years ago. So I booked using my account, and the card was approved without sending in a scanned copy.

So it was a bit tough to book, but their hotel rates were much better than the rest.

In fact, I just looked again on Trip Advisor. If you look at Macau, Ctrip's rates are still well below others. For example, the MGM Macau is 13,400 Philippine pesos from everyone else, but only 9,000 Philippine pesos from Ctip.
