The D party is about beating a republican. Not about standing up for issues.
That's why we have parties, basically only two of them.

They evolved as collectives to find and get people elected.

An individual without a party will usually get ignored and beaten by one of the two machines.

Another reason why we need serious reforms to the $$$ election system.

$$ is not speech. $$ drowns speech. So does the fact that the American public education system is being suffocated -- and the gap of power and money widens between the elites and the people.
