I'm still waiting to hear about Novell's aggressive marketing plans
and in particular what are they doing to get VARs out there selling IntraNetware.

An announcement of a product is not a sale. (I don't care if its not coming out until Oct. 7th) one cannot warm one's butt in this marketplace.

Tell us Marengi what are you doing to get the VARs to sell the product besides announcing the product?

Once again Eric you are completely right in looking for Novell to work in parallel and/or partner with Netscape. Lets hope they listen and move faster.

I think we have identified some of the characteristics needed in the next Novell CEO.
-1- has to know what direction the network computing industry is taking.
-2- has to understand what Novell can and can't do with its NOS as a base for web severs and intranet solutions and remedy the situation.
-3- has to be willing to partner strategically with a browser company and other companies that develop apps based upon browsers for the benifit of Novell's 60 million customers.
-4- has to come out and say where each product is headed directly to Novell's customers and define that direction and message clearly for the press.
-5- has to be able to define Novell's products to the press so that MSFT's flacks don't do it for Novell with the usual negative spin.
-6- has to end the process of our guessing about what direction Novell intranet products are moving in.

The stock moved up today through 10 3/4 and held. People sense an opportunity and are nibbling. They would buy if Marengi et. al did something more to move the stock. You remember when IBM's stock was below 60. You didn't find IBM management ignoring the stockholders.
