Is there a reason churches are supported by govmint thru tax freedom.....?? DUMB...even for you Joey.... "US churches received an official federal income tax exemption in 1894, and they have been unofficially tax-exempt since the country's founding. All 50 US states and the District of Columbia exempt churches from paying property tax." Also, see McCullouch v. Maryland...an 1819 USSC decision...."the power to tax is the power to destroy". Keeping the government out of church finances maintains the separation of church and state enshrined in the Constitution. See the First Amendment....
