FB tells me my friends, even those from school days, mostly turned out as conservative as I am. But I am from that sea of red voting counties out there spread across America.

I have experienced quite the opposite, B. I have maybe two dozen old hometown Facebook friends, a few of them having been friends from kindergarten (60+ years ago). We all grew up in the same blue-collar, working-class town (about ten miles outside of New York City), and yet only one of them is a fellow conservative. The remainder are all pretty much apolitical 'moderates', liberal-learning, or ultra-liberal. My fellow life-long conservative friend and I have a difficult time fending off the onslaught of liberal ideas when any of them post anything political, but we will never give up the fight. :)
