Hello;

You are correct. Unless one owns Selects from Fidelity (or Invesco or Vanguard), trading funds won't accomplish much. The manager trades the assets of the fund. So why trade the fund?

Best off keeping the fund and checking it out when the reports come around. Just make sure they own stuff that you intended to own when you bought the fund. Your excess profit, if any, from trading will be minimal.
