ALL: Michael Murphy On Y2k

Murphpy's California Technology Stock Letter arrived yesterday and he has a section on 1998 predictions. Here's his final one:

"And, last, by the end of the year the IRS will admit they have a Year 2000 problem and ask all Americans to do the right thing and pay taxes voluntarily, in cash, because the system can no longer process either witholding or check."

A bit droll here, I think. Murphy dedicated a full issue's commentary a while back on y2k and though he certainly acknowledges a problem he thinks the stocks are way overblown. I can't really figure him out on this.

Thoughts???.......

Best, Ivan
