Maybe someone can benefit from my experience this week. I had Windows 7 and downloaded Windows 10. When I got home that afternoon it worked fine and I got to play around with the differences. The problem came when I played Yourtube videos. Some would play fine and others would freeze after a few seconds. Then it got to where I couldn't get more than a minute before the internet would freeze. The rest of the computer and programs would work but to get the internet back I would have to restart. I have never had this issue with any OS, browser, or computer. I was blaming Windows 10 of course.

I looked around the web to see if others had this trouble. They did, and had for years, but I couldn't find one solution that worked for everyone. So over the next few days I tried these things and more.

Tried other browsers. None would work.

Cleared all cookies in each browser and ran virus control. Nothing.

Checked for the latest in Flash. I had the current update.

Saw I had a Windows 10 update. Got it but no difference.

Went to settings and changed the...." Use software renderings instead of GPU renderings." That worked for some, but not for me.

Finally I saw a post on Tom's Hardware and right clicked on Chrome, went to settings and disabled the hardware acceleration. I think that is for Flash.

Anyway that seemed to work! lol... Hasn't crashed again. I use Youtube a lot and watch videos in other places so it would be hard to get the full use of the internet with a computer that wasn't stable in this area. I tried to be careful because I didn't want to do more damage than good. It has been awhile since I fooled around with the inner workings of the system. Even with this glitch Windows 10 is still a big improvement over 8.1 which I have on my laptop. This problem was on my desktop.
