Did IOM comment on the relationship of the Jazz to the Zip drives; ie, Jazz has a 2% failure rate vs.4% failure rate for Jazz? (I made up these number for use in my example.) What is an "adnormal return rate"?

I'm not that comfortable with the answer given by IOM. As a side issue, look what poor quality did to Packard Bell's reputation.

We should not forget that quality/product satisfaction is determined by the customer, not the manufacture. One thing IOM could do is hire a company like J.D. Power to conduct a customer satisfaction survey. This would put the issue to rest once and for all.

Just my thoughts,
