Have you ever thought about being the least bit cynical and ask why things are worse now for the poor and better for the rich, than they were 50 years ago?
Seeing as it's the rich getting richer, that's a question you R's should answer..... Maybe the rich paying their poor labor more would help the poor.. Maybe hedge fund managers paying more cap gains rates on their income might help too....... Maybe fewer wars(not the war on poverty) that ring up trillions in debt would also help......

Would you be in favor of a $.05/gal gas tax to pay for infrastructure improvements????
