There is an enormous difficulty in creating and maintaining a stable currency. The earth is not stable so in many instances you are ever trying to account for the unaccountable.

You can control the business end of currency by keeping a close watch on loans and debt and having a % of that currency tied to a fixed asset.

You cannot control the unexpected events which paper can accommodate. You can in my opinion limit unnecessary over exuberant expectations by fixing currency to a small percentage of hard asset.

Greece is a good example of what should not happen . Somehow or other we all manage to forget over time it can happen again and again.
