Can you tell if the video drivers were just carried over from the prior version or updated during the install?
Did you check to see if the actual hardware vendor has newer drivers available? Microsoft usually only has the latest "certified by them" drivers on the update site, not necessarily the latest from the vendor that perhaps Microsoft hasn't gotten around to "certifying" yet.
