This has set the climate field back decades of useful research, and it is ruining public perception of the field. Billions of dollars have gone into 'dynamically linking' climate & weather with increasing CO2, and none have come true. Forecasts beyond 10 days are as shitty as ever, especially seasonal forecasts. Weather forecasts have improved greatly, but they don't use CO2 in the dynamical equations.

One day, we'll get beyond this obsession of CO2. Once that day has passed, climate research can focus on real dynamics and begin to improve.
