It's now 6:50 AM on Saturday. I found the desktop just like it was when I went to bed last night.... a black screen. I decided to manually shut it down. When I held the button for only a few seconds the screen lit up with everything apparently looking right. Except, no mouse response. I tried to manually shut it down again and this time I got a never seen before screen and a very brief message asking how I like it (or something like that). That disappeared and no sign of a mouse or otherwise means of control.

I left it running, but have to leave immediately for a meeting. Be back in a couple hours. I'm hoping someone has an idea about what's next. ... and thanks !!!
