I think its intersting that a central bank--being one of the class that drives the price of gold--are using that price as justification for a rate cut.

Wouldn't want to use larger macro fundamnetals as a reason: like "deflation" "recession" or "depression." Note that this talk of a rate cut comes at a time when rates are already the lowest in 4 years.

What does this tell us?
