To all CREAF followers. CompUSA has a blow-out sale on Creative Labs PC-DVD Encore kits: "SKU # 169976 COMP PRICE: $299.99". It is advertised in today's newspaper ad and also on their web site, and is reportedly below CompUSA's cost of $329. The advertised product is displayed right next to the Hi-Val DVD kit, which sells for $349.

This may be the right time to pick up a DVD kit at below the retailer's cost. I asked one of the workers how the Creaf PC-DVD Encore sales have been going and was informed that they have been going very well and it was clearly the top end DVD product. However, even at todays CompUSA price reduction, they had sold only two of the kits at that (in Orange County, CA)store this morning. I imagine that when more people become aware of the Creaf DVD value, they will clean the shelves of the units. The sale price is through 12/27/97.

Business at CompUSA today appeared to be quite brisk. I imagine that CompUSA's thought in selling this unit below cost is productive in getting customers in the door to load up on other items, rather than a sign of a poor Christmas retail selling season. I guess we'll soon hear more about how the Retail Christmas selling season is going.

That was quite an impressive turnaround in the NASDAQ index in general and Creaf in particular last Friday. I hope Bzooka is correct in thinking that Creaf will break 21 tommorrow. If Creaf returns to its old ways and starts heading up in price, we can all give ourselves a treat by buying a DVD Encore, subsequently increading Creaf product sales. Good luck to all Creaf followers!
