Great Atlantic Begins Field Work at McDougall Road Antimony-Gold Project

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – August 19, 2015 – GREAT ATLANTIC RESOURCES CORP. (TSXV.GR) (the “Company” or “Great Atlantic”) is pleased to announce it has commenced field work at its McDougall Road Antimony-Gold Project, located in western New Brunswick. The McDougall Road Project is located approximately 17 kilometres southwest of the town of Woodstock and covers an area of approximately 340 hectares. The Poplar Mountain gold deposit (also referred to as Golden Ridge) which is majority owned by Rockport Mining Corp. is located approximately 13 kilometres southwest of Great Atlantic’s McDougall Road Project.
Great Atlantic has commenced a program of soil sampling and prospecting in the central region of the McDougall Road Project. Freewest Resources Canada Inc. reported the discovery of an antimony bearing quartz vein in this area during the late 1990s, describing it as a northwest trending 12 centimetre wide vein being within a broad 100 metre – wide sericite-silicic alteration zone associated with the Woodstock Fault. A Freewest sample of this vein was reported to return 11.6% Sb and 340 ppb Au. Freewest reported zones of antimony soil anomalies in the area of this reported vein plus local gold soil anomalies. The objective of the 2015 Great Atlantic program is to define targets for trenching and diamond drilling through confirmation of the antimony bearing vein or veins and soil anomalies.
Great Atlantic has the option to acquire 100% interest in the property from a local prospector, subject to a 2% NSR. Access to the property is excellent with a gravel road transecting the property and paved roads in the general area.
