Right.

But Trump can be trusted. I have no doubt, whatsoever, about that. Ben Carson can be trusted. Carly Fiorina can be trusted.

Obama was immediately recognizable as a slick talker who was clueless. If you look at my posts in 2007-2008 right here you can see that a few of us were aware of it. Very smooth when reading a speech, but it was clear he lacked the qualification.

While Trump has gotten off to a lousy start with some of his comments, he may well be the next president, because while he's full of shit, he has an extended history of delivering. I don't like some of his ideas on trade protectionism and a few other things, but it is a worthwhile tradeoff to get someone who will put the nation's interests ahead of political interests. And there is little doubt Trump would do that.

I'm concerned about someone of his wealth becoming president, just being honest. But he will be a good president.

It is likely we'll see a serious economic problem in the coming ten years (if not in the next two). Carly F. or Trump would make the leaders of the lot in those circumstances.

As to Nixon, keep in mind that Republicans turned on him when the evidence showed he had committed a crime. That has NOT happened as Obama's corruption has become predominant.
