In just a little over a year, APM ran up from 15 to 60, and then
back down to 12.

I believe the initial run up to 30 or 40 was due to impressive
earnings. But the rest of the run, from what I understand, was
due to large purchases by Vinik. Then he sold high, causing
the stock to fall. A failed takeover attempt also caused the
stock to fall. And now the sector in general is down.

My question: Do you agree that Vinik was a major cause of both
the dramatic rise and dramatic fall in the price of APM?
