I don't think he knew that ... he was trying to enlist help against Reagan. This man is dying of cancer and he's still upset over losing to Reagan .... creepy imo. Voting for Carter in the 1970's is the worst thing I've ever done politically. Wait, not just politically.

Did ANYBODY in January 1984 think that Reagan wouldn't win a 2nd term? Even Carter probably thought Reagan was a shoo-in and that's why the sore loser was so desperate he reached out to the USSR.

I believe the Reagan people played BOTH sides of the fence though. I think they did everything they could to get the Iranians to HOLD the Americans hostage until AFTER the election of 1980. Ha ha. As if a Republican candidate had influence on the Ayatollah.

As far as Kennedy.....he was a SLEAZE and should have been in prison rather than the U.S. Senate after he KILLED Kopechne.... No argument there. At the very least he committed vehicular manslaughter under the influence.
