OMG. Can't believe you said that. The whole income inequality thing was rolling strong when TR decided to "bust" the trusts.

The Rockefellers are worth $11 Billion today.

When Andrew Mellon died his wealth was $50 Billion in today's dollars.

No. It didn't begin with Reagan. That's absurd.

The problem can't be solved by government because there will always be a Bill Gates or Elon Musk to muck up the works. Always.

And just to put it in perspective, arithmetic gets in the way. There will always be SOMEONE who can out-earn everyone else. And that person will have $100,000 deposited on his or her behalf that he doesn't need to touch over his lifetime. It will average 8% after-taxes, compounded monthly.


And there's $300 Million in a single 100 year lifetime on a measly $100K.


You really can't confiscate everyone's wealth sufficiently to solve this problem without turning society into a country full of head-nodding drones.
